8 months

Kinsley is 8 months old today! And getting a picture of an 8 month old is tough. She definitely didn't let her sign last long this time around. She is still doing great and doing new things every day. She rolls everywhere and is doing a one-leg scoot thing too. She is making more sounds and loves telling stories. She is doing better with sleeping all night long, but still throws a few middle of the night wake-ups in some nights. It's so much fun to see her growing everyday and being able to go and do so many things together.

Fun Times

We've been having a blast lately just playing enjoying our days. Kinsley is definitely all over the place, and is beginning to scoot forward. We're also working on starting table food, but mashing food is tough with no teeth to help! We're noticing more signs of teething, and she has some bumps on the front of her gums, but nothing on the top yet. We're hoping the next weeks bring more relaxing and fun, and just gearing up for our busy weeks at the end of May.

Kinsley loves her bucket (we may have a future drummer!)

Looking SO grown up

It's more fun to play where you're not supposed to

She still loves the jumperoo. And you can't see it in the picture, but we're up 2 notches from where she started!

Our days have been pretty routine lately, which I don't think is a bad thing! Kinsley loves being able to go outside for walks now that it's warm enough most days. Her new favorite thing inside is to pull out all of her toys from her basket. At least she plays with them once they're out, and they're still small enough that they pick up easily. She's going to have to learn to pick up before we get the bigger and better ones!
Last Thursday we had our appointment in Iowa City about her head shape. The doctor described her level as "moderate" Kinsley is now sleeping on her side or tummy and that should help. She is also spending a lot more time sitting up. The doctor said the main thing was whether we saw progress or not. Ultimately we decided to wait a couple more weeks, take another picture, and determine then whether there has been more progress or if we need to look into a band for treatment. One of the cool things of the day was when they took her x-rays and we could see all her teeth just ready to come out! It was also a beautiful day and we got to stop at Coralridge before the drive home.

PEEK!

Busy Days

Kinsley has had a busy weekend! Yesterday we visited Uncle Jeremy, Aunt Cara, and Cousin Gabe in Minnesota. Grandpa and Grandma Benson were also there. It was so nice to see everyone and to finally get to see Jeremy and Cara's beautiful house! On the way home we stopped at Medford and Kinsley got some new clothes from Carter's. She also had her first trip to Cabela's. She was a pretty happy girl all day and loved riding in her stroller. Today was a wonderful day outside so we got to blow some bubbles and take another stroller walk. Since it was so warm she also got to spend some time in just her onesie which she loves! This Thursday we go to Iowa City for the consult about her head. She is starting to sleep on her left side and things seem to be looking better so we are hoping for a positive trip.

Easter

Happy Easter everyone! We got to spend the weekend with Michael's family. Kinsley was a good traveler and had fun seeing everyone. Tomorrow will be back to the routine, and this week we will be looking forward to seeing Jeremy, Cara, Gabe, and Grandma and Grandpa Benson on Saturday.

Kinsley is loving the warmer weather because it means wearing less clothes!
