9 months

Kinsley was 9 months old on Sunday! We have her check-up on Wednesday so I will post her stats then. Over her 9 monthday she was very busy. Last Thursday we left Rudd and spent the night at Grandma and Grandpa Benson's. Cloey stayed there for the weekend while we went to Davenport for a wedding. On Friday Aunt Stephanie baby-sat and Kinsley stayed at a hotel for the first time. On Saturday Michael's Aunt Anne watched her and she had her first night away from mom! Then, on Sunday, it was back to the Benson's and then finally home on Monday. Kinsley did great the whole time and even did some flirting with anoter little boy during the wedding. Tomorrow is the last day of the school year so we will be beginning our summer and hoping to share some more exciting details soon!

Busy Girl

Kinsley is definitely becoming a busy little girl! She is almost all the way recovered from her cold last week, and we are crossing our fingers that we can find some preventative things to do next week at the ENT.
At home Kinsley loves scooting and rolling, but is also getting more interested in what she can do with toys. She uses her rattles for drumsticks on cool whip bowls, and loves this new wooden toy that has doors she can open and close. She also loves being held to stand and practice walking. She even got her first ouch with evidence today- she pulled her favorite toy at daycare off the walker when she was getting her diaper changed on the floor. She is getting better at going to bed and we're hoping to get a little nap in again after day care so we can move bedtime back a little.
Next weekend we will be going to a wedding and Kinsley will possibly be having her first overnight away from us. Then the next week we will officially be on summer vacation and enjoying our days together.

Fun Times

Kinsley has been having a lot of fun lately. She is starting to want to actually "do" things with her toys besides just chew on them. This means some of the little baby toys are getting boring and we've been able to get out other things like stackers and her doll. She also really likes banging toys together and playing the drums with her cool whip bowls. She is eating more and more real food and loving it! Her favorite things are sweet potato fries and noodles. She also really likes fruit, but it's a little slippery for picking up on her own.
Unfortunately this week hasn't been a very fun time because Kinsley is sick again. It started with a cold and by Wednesday she was at the doctor with a junky chest and a beginning ear infection. She's on an antibiotic and the doctor also gave us an allergy medicine to start using. She felt a lot better today but has still been pretty clingy and getting up a lot at night again. We will be seeing an ENT in two weeks to talk about her ear infections and also more about allergies.

Celebrations!

Last Thursday was our 2 week date from being in Iowa City. And we are super excited that Kinsley's new head picture shows even more rounding and we're not going to have to look into other treatment options (the band). YAY!
Then on Saturday, Kinsley's first tooth popped through the gum. She had been a little fussy in the night the week before, but on that day you would have never guessed it was coming. We haven't been able to get a picture yet because she still wants to hide it with her tongue.
