Good Weekend

Kinsley had a great time swimming on Friday and again on Sunday. We didn't do much this weekend- just had fun at home, which is a good thing because we are going to have a busy 4th of July week. Last Wednesday I visited some daycares in Iowa City, and this Wednesday we are taking Kinsley to meet one of them I really liked (so keep your fingers crossed for us that she has a spot). After that we are going to see Grandma and Grandpa B and then Grandma and Grandpa O. Luckily Kinsley likes to travel and is a pretty easygoing kid!

Summer Days

Kinsley has been having a lot of fun days at home. When the rain stops we are trying to get outside for walks or going to the park to swing. Today she played with some bowls and water on the deck. Tomorrow it will hopefully be warm enough to try out her pool.
Kinsley is exploding in her signing and trying to copy words. She now signs more, all done, milk (ba-ba-ba), ball, and waves hi and bye. When she signs she also says some of the sounds of the word. She can also make the sign if you just say the word. It is definitely making meals easier, although we mostly see "more" and not a lot of "all done"! I'm trying to add please to her signs so she can try that instead of whining when she wants something (try taking jell-o or the dog leash away from this girl and see what happens). We also do the signs for drink and some animals in her books. She also loves copying noises. Today when I said "purple" she said "burbl". We've tried to get some video of her signing and talking but so far she hasn't been too cooperative- she either tries to get the camera or just sits still like we're just taking a picture.

Big Day

Kinsley got her tubes this morning and is doing great! It was only 10 minutes from the time we handed her over until she was back with us. She slept when we got home and was her normal self the rest of the day.

Tuesday Kinsley managed to sit up in her crib after her nap

Fun Fun Fun

Kinsley is a very busy little girl lately! She is always on the go and finding new things that she shouldn't have. We've had a great start to summer although she still went to daycare most of last week so I could get some cleaning out done at home. This weekend we've been busy cleaning out more and more. Kinsley has gotten to sit outside on a blanket a couple of times and she absolutely loves it! She will sit and play with toys while dad and mom get some work done. She's also getting closer to getting more teeth- she has a definite bump on the top but nothing has come through yet.
