Trick or Treat

Kinsley has had so much fun celebrating Halloween this week! On Monday Michael carved his pumpkin and Kinsley and I painted ours. She really loved painting and then playing with the "bubin" after it was dry. On Thursday Kinsley had Halloween playgroup while she was at daycare, and we also did trick or treat at an Iowa City Mall that night. At first she was a little upset that people were putting things in her bucket, but that all changed when we got home and she got to eat a sucker and carry around her toothbrush. Tomorrow night is beggar's night in Coralville, our plan right now is just to lay low and hand out candy at home.

Painting is fun!

Crazy Girl

This is what Kinsley spent about 20 minutes doing tonight. It's so nice to see her feeling good and having the energy to go and go and go again. What a great way to end our weekend!

What she's saying: nak (snack), woof-woof, due (shoe), isley (Kinsley), side (outside), rou-rou (Wheels on the bus), peas (please), ank-oo (Thank You), belly, dir (deer), ni-ni (night-night), juju (juice), and tons more!
Favorite song: Wheels on the Bus
Favorite thing to do: Going bye-bye anywhere!

Pumpkins and More

Yesterday we took Kinsley to the pumpkin patch. She loved looking at all the pumpkins and tapping on them. Although the weather wasn't very fall-like (it was 87!) we still had a great time and got our three pumpkins for this year. Now the debate is to paint or to carve. After the pumpkin patch we went and explored Cedar Rapids, we'll definitely be going back when there's more time for mall shopping.

It's hard to believe that October is already here! And it's even harder to believe that we can't call Kinsley a baby anymore- she is full fledged toddler now. With her walking has come an even deeper streak for independence- she wants to put on her own clothes, drink from a cup, open doors, etc. Right now Kinsley's favorite thing to do is accessorize- she loves putting on and taking off headbands, hats, dog collars, shoes, you name it. She also spends a lot of time just walking around the living room and picking up toys off the floor. She is so proud when she can bend down and get back up without falling. We also discovered in the last couple of days that her first two molars have come through, hopefully this means better sleeping soon.

Accessory Exhibit 1- Grandma B would be so proud!

Accessory Exhibit 2- we must have a hat on when riding a lion
