Busy Days

We had a busy weekend even though we mostly stayed home and out of the cold.  Yesterday the kids got to see Santa.  Kyler did great and Kinsley also did a good job talking to Santa and telling him what she wanted.  It was a community event so we also got to have pancakes, make a craft, and Kinsley got a new dress for her McKenna doll at the vendor fair.  Today Michael got the Christmas lights put out even though it was snowing.  Kinsley and I made dipped pretzels for an early holiday treat.  Kyler also had his 10 monthday today- he celebrated by having  typical day of trying to crawl into the kitchen and get a hold of anything he shouldn't have.  I'm sure the next few weeks will be full of fun as well and we are looking forward to our first Christmas as a family of 4!

9 months

Kyler is 9 months old!  He is still a busy boy and learning new things everyday.  He likes any toys that he can take things off of, put things in, or just bang on.  He is crawling everywhere and talking all the time.   He still loves his baby food but is now eating all kinds of finger foods too.  He had another ear infection last week but is now back to himself.  We got new carpeting in the basement last week and Kyler loves having another place for playing.
    We did Trick or Treat with just Kinsley this year since Kyler goes to bed early (and was also sick).  She decided to be the pink Supergirl this year.  She had a blast going with our old neighbors and the Great Pumpkin brought all 4 Shrek movies in exchange for the peanut candy.  She has been doing great in school and is now wanting to write and play school at home.  She is still in love with her dolls and Barbies and spends most of her time changing their clothes to get them ready for various activities.

8 months

    Kyler is 8 months old today!  He is having a lot of fun working on crawling and trying all kinds of finger foods.  Favorites so far include noodles and green beans.  
     In other family news, nothing too exciting to report.  We've been enjoying the Fall weather by going outside every night, and also went to the pumpkin patch this past weekend.  Kinsley already has her costume for Halloween and is starting to count down the days for Trick or Treat. 

 

Birthday and Monthday

Kinsley is now 4 and Kyler is 7 months!!   We had a great party last weekend for Kinsley's birthday and were so lucky to have family and friends to celebrate with.  Unfortunately our bad luck of illness has continued and Kinsley spent the rest of last week home sick.  We are hoping this upcoming week brings lots of healing and that we can enjoy the nice and cooler weather coming for the weekend.

6 months

Kyler is 6 months old!   Lately we've just been enjoying the end of our Summer and working on getting into daycare and work routines again.  Kyler is still rolling all the time and is working on sitting up.  He also loves being in the jumperoo.  He is eating solids twice a day now and hasn't not liked any yet.  Kyler's favorite toys right now are anything he can bang or push on (like the flap of a box). 
Big Sister is still doing her normal things and is also getting into the full time preschool routine.  She's also gearing up for her birthday at the end of the month!  Lately she's been into drawing/coloring, cutting, and playing with her babies or Barbies.

 

5 Months

Kyler is 5 months old today!  He had his 4 month check-up last week.  He weighed 21.6 pounds and is 28 3/4 inches long.  He is rolling all the time now and even trying to get his knees under himself to scoot.  He's also making lots of noises and chewing on everything.  We've started baby food and so far green beans and prunes are winners. 

The Fourth and More

We had a low key, but fun, Fourth.  We've also been enjoying the extra "stay home" days.  For the Fourth we went to the Owens' for a Family Dinner and Kinsley got to go to her first fireworks.  In her words they went, "Boom, Boom, Boom, Firework, Firework, Firework"  Since it was warm today we got out the swimming pool and Kyler took his first dip!  He loved being in the water and even did some splashing.  We were having lots of fun until our baby robin decided to jump out of the nest and we got divebombed by the parents!   Hopefully our last vacation day will be low key and then it's back to our routine on Monday.

Kyler figured out how to roll about 2 weeks ago- and is now everywhere!  In the last couple of days he's figured out how to actually roll to get to toys (and other things- Cloey) he wants.

Meeting Cousin Brynnlie

4 months

Kyler is 4 months old!  And for his "four-monthday" he got to meet his new cousin Brynnlie!  More posts to follow with pictures from daddy's camera.

3 months

Kyler is 3 months old!   Lately his favorite thing is his hands- he always has them by his face.  He's done some sucking of his thumb but hasn't quite gotten it yet so he still prefers his paci.  He's also been enjoying going for stroller walks in the warm weather.

Nicer Days

Luckily this weekend brought us some warmer weather and a chance to get outside!  We've just been playing, playing, playing and keeping things pretty low key as I am getting back to 100%.
